Dr. Riley explains the different methods of treatment Tulsa Spine and Rehab has in their arsenal to help people with their treatment and specific needs.
Integrated care is effectively we have multiple providers providing multiple treatment options. And that could be from chiropractic to physical therapy to massage therapy to nutrition, cryotherapy, laser therapy. Whatever the case may be. Essentially, it means that we have a very full toolbox. Many times as a patient, you might go to a clinic and they have a chiropractic physician or a physical therapist. We’re limited what we can do. Many times that one modality or option may be good for a patient. But my experience has shown me that integrated care produces more effective, better outcomes, if you will, because it’s more comprehensive. They might receive chiropractic manipulation to reestablish motion and then physical therapy to promote stability. Maybe some massage therapy to work on the muscles. They’re able to get all of this under one roof without driving to different clinics, without receiving referrals.
And also what’s very important about our integrated models, we have a high level of communication. Our providers are constantly talking to each other and just having discussions about you the patient. What’s going on in your care? What you’re responding well to? What do we need to change? Does there need to be a revision? Do we need to add other providers? So I think that just having like-minded specialist, really good specialists and providers under one roof, allows us to provide this integrated, comprehensive care with really, really good outcomes. Also, we’re independently owned. We’re a small office, if you will. We’re not owned by a large hospital or a large group. When you come in, hopefully you’re going to see the same smiling face. We really pride ourselves on as a small boutique office, as you will, providing that personal, high level of service. We almost want you to forget why you’re here. Because everyone’s here because something’s wrong. It doesn’t cost anything to smile. And I know that sounds horribly cliche. But we want to provide that high level of service promoting the best outcomes.
Also, we have a fantastic referral network here in Tulsa and around the region. Occasionally a patient comes in and all of these different modalities or options may not be indicated for a patient. And that’s why we can pick up the phone, call a trusted provider that we have a good relationship with, get you in front of them, get the appropriate form of care and recommendations. And that all kind of builds into this teamwork approach. Diagnosis is important. The treatment plan comes next. And then we need to figure out what team members we need to get involved to provide this high level service to promote the best outcome. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about you the patient. We are a patient focused and centered clinic. It’s all about getting you better. And then sustaining that relief. We’re not about lengthy exorbitant treatment plans. Each patient is different. Each treatment plan is going to be a little bit different. So, it’s so very important on the front end that through that treatment plan, we make the appropriate recommendations. My job is to get you better as quickly as I possibly can, and also sustain those results. If that’s through home exercise, modifying activity. Whatever the case may be.
Integration is the foundation of why we’re different here in the clinic. Through that model, I feel like it builds a very comprehensive treatment option for the patient to promote the best results. But as I mentioned, referral networks in a small boutique office that’s independently owned, patient focused care. Those are also things that we’re very, very passionate about as well that make us different.
So, like we say, at Tulsa Spine and Rehab, keep moving.
