So I’ve spoken about this in the past. As a chiropractor, I specialize in many different things, but more specifically joint mobility. I’m trying to find an area of the spine or an extremity that isn’t moving properly. So it might be a wrist, a shoulder, an ankle and through palpation and examination we determine maybe that the structure, that joint doesn’t have the appropriate motion or mobility and that’s when we may adjust that joint.
So obviously the spine, the majority of patients that we see here are going to be related to the back, the neck, something of that nature, the mid back. But we treat a lot of ankles, shoulders, other extremity joints. We’re going to take a look to exam that joint’s not moving properly, which may contribute to diminished function. From there we’re going to manipulate that joint or utilize some technique to mobilize that joint to improve mobility and function and hopefully reduce pain.
