Dr. Riley:
As with any type of physician, I think there’s many things that we can do to avoid care or stay out of the doctor’s office. And simply put, I think it’s about making good decisions for the most part. We can lead a healthy lifestyle. What does that mean? Obviously, diet, maintain a healthy weight, make good decisions in that respect. Obviously staying very active. Exercise, focus on biomechanics at the office, your posture, and those types of things. At the end of the day, I think it’s very simple that, of course we do X, Y, and Z to maintain a healthy lifestyle. What’s challenging about that is it’s for many of us, we have a difficult time. And I think more importantly, it’s recognizing when something may be going wrong, that’s when to reach out to a physician. But at the end of the day, I think that we’re all accountable for what we do. And for the most part, if we make good decisions throughout the day related to exercise, and lifestyle, and diet and so forth, hopefully we can stay out of the doctor’s office.
