This drill’s called log rolls. This is a great drill for core activation. Very simple drill to wake your core up, teach your brain how to move all together here, okay?
So what we’re going to have Brie doing is she’s going to be in a lying position here. One knee is going to be bent, her foot on the ground and she’s going to support her arms right above her shoulders here. What we’re going to do is we’ll ask her to roll away from the knee that’s up, okay? Like a log would roll in the water. So we’re all going to roll together and back, okay?
We do not want any type of twisting between the lower and the upper body. Everything moves together, okay? She can also help herself if she pushes off that foot just a little bit. We’re always going to roll to the side away from the knee that’s up, okay? Staying together we’re going to turn about 45 degrees or so and then back, okay? Once again. Okay? 10 to 15 reps is a good number. We’re going to make sure to do both sides. This is log rolls, a great drill for core activation.
