When clients have gone through treatments such as chiropractic care and physical therapy to get through an injury, many want to continue their workouts. With the addition of personal fitness trainer, Bree Robinson, they can now do just that. In her own words, “I offer one on one personal training, small group training and fitness classes here as well. So this just kind of gives people the opportunity to transition from their physical therapy and into the personal training category.”
Personal training keeps clients in a supervised, safe arena to where they can still make improvements in their fitness and everything but just take them in a different capacity and kind of a step up on their fitness level. And the classes are open beyond patients as well. In personal fitness training, “you get my sole attention, it’s just your hour. We can focus on exactly what it is you want to focus on. So whether that be a specific physical goal or maybe you just want more one on one attention to make sure you are completely safe.”
Training differs with each client according to what their goals and finish line are – from general weight loss to adding more muscle and strength.
“Whatever physical goal they have in mind we can completely tailor something to them.”
If you are a clinic patient then Robinson will have the advantage of knowing your physical therapy to a degree and will be able to detail your training and personalize it for you.
Education is also key.
“I let them know why they are doing what they are doing. I think that’s an area where a lot of trainers fall short is not letting people know why they are doing it.”
The one on one training offers key benefits such as keeping clients safe during a workout when dealing with weights. And keeping them in their comfort zone while working out.
“The whole one on one and making sure you know why you’re doing what you’re doing. You know exactly what parts of your body you are wanting to focus on as far as stabilizing or keeping tight. You want to make sure you are doing every move correctly so you don’t pull something out of whack or injure yourself.”
